Quote of the week

The second best thing you can say about an idea is, “That’s been done before, and it worked.”

In order to standout you must create memorable experiences

I have said it before, and I will say it again. In today’s cluttered world, full of noise and distractions, the best way to standout and connect with your audience/fans/clients (you get the point) … It’s by creating memorable experiences.

Here is great example of how, at the end of the day, you do not need huge budgets or spectacular gadgets to accomplish this. A good idea, fully connected to the core of the message is sometimes all you need. Nicely played Coke … nicely played.

Unlock the 007 in you. You have 70 seconds!

History was made yesterday, and the whole world came together to be part of it… online. Yesterday, Felix Baumgartner and the rest of the Red Bull Stratos team broke multiple aerospace records, while millions watched online.

According to reports, the YouTube live stream of the event was watched by over 8 million people, breaking the record of live stream with the most concurrent views ever on YouTube

The online community connected, shared and participated in ways I have never seen before. For more than two hours people all over the world got together via social networks to witness this incredible spectacle.

Here are the highlights of the mission:

So, congratulations to Felix Baumgartner and the entire Red Bull Stratos Team for pushing the limits and giving us an unforgettable experience.

P.S. As the short video shown above does not give the full perspective of what represented for Felix to jump from 39 km up and reaching a top speed of 1342km/h, or 1.24 times the speed of sound (making him the first human to travel faster than the speed of sound without being inside a craft), here is the full video of the jump.

Enjoy!

Jack White on restriction, creativity and work ethic

As I have mentioned in other posts, I strongly believe that you can find sources of inspiration everywhere. Particularly from the worlds of sports and music.

Well, recently I bumped into a fantastic short video with singer, songwriter, record producer and multi-instrumentalist Jack White.

In this video, Jack shares his views on all you need to know about connecting inspiration, creativity and work ethic.

Although these lessons are extremely simple, I believe they are also very valuable and applicable to anything you do.

Enjoy!
